Acrobat 9 Preflight powered by Callas
Adobe Acrobat 9 was announced over this weekend. It has a variety of new features and functions including Flash built-in and several online options, such as Buzzword and Connect. Another option which has supposedly been enhanced is their preflight feature, or postflight as we like to call it. This is powered by Callas Software in Germany.
“On June 2nd, 2008, Adobe Systems Inc. announced Acrobat 9. And for the fourth time since 2003, there is callas software’s technology inside in the form of Preflight. Throughout the last five years Preflight has turned into the reference implementation when it comes to X-raying PDFs.”

Now my question is, how will a Flash animation output or print? Speaking of Flash animations, check out this amusing one on a preflight operator, the FlightCheck eagle and the StickMan.
